Black Students Kicked Out Of Apple Store - Accused of Potential Theft

555 A Melbourne Apple store has copped a social media backlash after staff evicted a group of African students, telling them they were afraid they would steal something. The video shows a staff member from the Apple store at Highpoint Shopping Centre telling the boys, who were wearing Maribyrnong College uniforms, "we're just a bit worried about your presence in our store". The principal of Maribyrnong College later accompanied the boys back to the store to seek an apology for their treatment. An Apple spokeswoman said the company was looking into the incident, and supplied a quote from chief executive Tim Cook, saying "We believe in equality for everyone, regardless of race, age, gender, gender identity, ethnicity, religion, or sexual orientation. That applies throughout our company, around the world with no exceptions."
