An-24 aircraft crashed after landing in Buryatia

555 The investigating authorities of the East-Siberian Investigation Department of Transport of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation initiated a criminal case on the fact of the crash of the An-24 aircraft at the airport of Nizhneangarsk of the Republic of Buryatia on grounds of a crime under Part 3 of Art. 263 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (violation of the rules of traffic safety and operation of air transport, resulting in the death of two or more persons by negligence). According to investigators, on June 27, 2019, at 10.30 am local time, the An-24 of the Angara airlines crashed following the IK-200 flight on the route Ulan-Ude - Nizhneangarsk - Irkutsk. When landing at the airport in Nizhneangarsk, the aircraft rolled out of the runway and collided with the sewage treatment plant, after which it caught fire. According to preliminary data, as a result of the accident 2 crew members were killed, 14 people were taken to a medical facility with injuries of varying severity.
