Students wins recognition, concert tickets through Reliant

An HISD student recently was named one of two grand prize winners in the Reliant Student Recognition Program. Johnston Middle School student Lerman German was selected for his academic achievement, outstanding citizenship, and improved academic performance.

German was nominated by his principal, teachers, and parents. For this honor, he received four premier tickets to see the Fallout Boys in concert at the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo on March 8.

Additionally, 19 students received four tickets each to the same performance, and 13 of those came from HISD schools. They are: My’Riyah Woodard (Durham ES), Naila Hernandez (Lyons ES), Ariana Pupo (Longfellow ES), Alondra Palacios (Moreno ES), Dylan Leonard (Whitby ES), Allan Chavez (Carrillo ES), Jose Vasquez (Piney Point ES), Kevin Chaclan (White ES), Emily Castillo (Lantrip ES), Caley King-Davis (Kandy Strip Academy), Larry Garcia (Browning ES), Kristopher Green (Young Men’s College Preparatory Academy), and Emiliano Portillo (Moreno ES).
