Elderly Driver Smashes her 4WD through Shopfront in New York

555 A man was injured when an elderly woman lost control of her car and drove through the front of a store in New York State. CCTV captured the crash on Sunday in New Rochelle, when the 88-year-old driver pulled into a parking spot in front of the shop before driving through the glass doors. The woman tried to park, but the car surged forward. The man she hit, Jeff Weiner, had just walked into the store and was caught completely unaware when the 4WD smashed through the glass behind him. He was knocked to the ground and hospitalised with a broken ankle. The car smashed straight through the doors.
