555 The Syrian Arab Army continued its large-scale military offensive against forces of Jabhat Al-Nusra and the Turkistan Islamic Party in north-eastern Latakia Governorate on Tuesday. Soldiers from the Syrian Army used anti-tank guided missiles to repel the militant groups from strategic locations in the area. The hilltops of north-east Latakia are strategically important, as they link the three regions of Latakia, Idlib and Hama.
