Cops Rescue Woman From Burning Car

555 Kingston, TN - Dash-cam video captures the two officers risking their lives by battling flames and smoke to save a woman inside her car. She was incoherent from a medical condition, making the officers' job that much harder. They had to scream at her several times to unlock the door. Asst. Chief Caleb Strayer said "They don't know if it's going to explode any second. It's a risk you take and these guys put the risk aside. They were going to get someone out of there." Ultimately, the two men were able to pull her to safety where she was then taken to the hospital. They made a split second decision to put their lives in danger to save that of a stranger. The woman showed up to the station a few days later with gifts and an appreciation for those who saved her life. "She had bruises on her arms. She said that was from us grabbing her and getting her out of there. She says that they saved her live. She was very appreciative," says Strayer.
