Life-saving surgery gives badger a second chance

555 This poor badger was rescued by one of our volunteers after being found unable to move after a suspected car accident. She was rushed back to see our vet team but it quickly became apparent that she had a badly broken leg. Simon rushed him over to see Angus Anderson, a specialist orthopaedic vet who agreed to give the badger his best shot. After a lot of delicate surgery, Angus managed to reduce and plate the bone back into position and, after the badger came round from the anaesthetic, she was moved into one of our pens for some much needed R&R. Angus's work did the trick and it wasn't long before the badger was using the leg better than ever before! After a few weeks of rest and a final ok from our vet team, the lucky (and now fully healed) badger was released with our other orphaned badger cubs back into their new home. WildLife Aid
