Horrific Crash That Killed Off-Duty Officer

555 Chicago, IL - The city released horrific videos of a police chase on the West Side that killed an off-duty officer and a woman. Shortly after 1 a.m. June 27, Officer Taylor Clark was driving to his girlfriend's home when several on-duty officers spotted his car and thought it was the same car that had been involved in a carjacking, Chicago Police Supt. Eddie Johnson said a day after the incident. Police officers in an unmarked SUV started to chase the off-duty officer, who sped off, using their sirens and lights for at least a part of the time, officials said. The chase ended when Clark, driving through the intersection of Roosevelt Road and Kostner Avenue, crashed into another car. The video shows this high-speed collision in which both cars end up wrapped around a post of a gas station. Both Clark and the driver of the other car, 27-year-old Chequita Adams, died.
