Mumbai stampede: 'People were not prepared'

555 Eyewitness video has emerged of the stampede that broke out on a bridge in Mumbai on Friday, killing at least 22 people. In the video, filmed from an opposite platform at Elphinstone station during morning rush hour, commuters can be seen hanging off the side of a a staircase amid a stampede. Screaming and shouting can be heard in the video. Filmer Devesh Gangani, a product manager at a pharmaceutical firm, describes the scene: "Suddenly rain started pouring and people were not prepared with umbrellas so they stopped under the shed of the railway station. Simultaneously two or three trains arrived in a short space of time so the crowd gathered and people started pushing each other to get out of station. "The width of bridge is only 77 inches, which was not sufficient for so many people at that time. Morning is peak time where maximum people get out of the station to go to
