Scantily clad Siberians welcome in spring with ICE buckets

555 Locals in the Siberian city of Novokuznetsk celebrated the end of winter in true Siberian style, by doing the ice-bucket challenge and exercising outdoors in sub-zero temperatures, Sunday. Participants exercised and danced in the cold as well as well as pouring ice water on themselves, followed by a few shrieks as the cold began to register. The event, called the "Awakening", took place in a local park in Novokuznetsk. The temperatures reached lows of -12 to -15 degrees Celsius, (10.4 to 5 degrees Fahrenheit).
