New bodycam footage released from shooting death of Alton Sterling

555 Baton Rouge police released body camera Friday, March, 30, 2018, from the two officers involved in the July 5, 2016, shooting of Alton Sterling outside the Triple S convenience store. The footage here is from Officer Howie Lake II's camera. Baton Rouge Police Chief Murphy Paul announced on Friday evening that Officer Blane Salamoni, who shot and killed Alton Sterling outside of a convenience store in 2016, has been fired. The other officer on the scene, Howie Lake II, was suspended just three days. released on Friday show the confrontation in more graphic detail. State authorities had announced earlier this week that Salamoni and Lake, the other officer on the scene would not face charges.
