Suspect Dies After Shootout With San Francisco Police At Barbershop

555 San Francisco police have released body cam and dashcam of a deadly police shootout last week. Last week, a suspect shot at an officer-involved shooting in San Francisco died, according to police. The suspect, identified as 21-year-old Lehad Eid of Suisun City, died at the hospital following the shooting. At around 4:34 p.m., officers were called to the area of Geneva and London on of a man with a gun. The officers' investigation led them to a nearby barbershop, where police "made contact with several individuals ... and shots were exchanged." An officer was shot in the leg and was transported to San Francisco General Hospital. Investigators say five other people, including the suspect and a minor, were wounded in the shooting. Despite lifesaving efforts, Eid succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the hospital. San Francisco General Hospital spokesman Brent Andrew says the officer is in fair condition. The 17-year-old victim was treated and released from the hospital. Vladimir Shteynberg, the barbershop owner, said that two barbers and a teenage boy who hung around the shop after school were among those shot.
