Male With Knife Shot By Police in the Netherlands

555 The police have shot a man on the Verdilaan in Naaldwijk. The man was waving a knife near the Albert Heijn supermarket. The suspect was injured and taken to the hospital. Except for the suspect, nobody injured. Police started investigation at the scene. Witnesses said that the defendant 'had something in his hands but did not want to dispose of. He was shouting 'allahu akbar'. Then he was seized by a police dog. In order to overpower him, the police have shot several times. The suspect was arrested and taken away by ambulance. The Dutch Public Prosecutor is investigating the shooting.
