Woman recovered after being buried by an avalanche for 30 years

The audit also found that in April 1987, a group of 5 people climbed the highest mountain of Europe Elbrus, presumably headed by a group of instructors named Lykov. After the group did not return after the time had elapsed, the search for the disappeared climbers was organized, but unfortunately to no avail. Only now, as a result of an abnormally warm summer, the glaciers of Elbrus melted and exposed the place of the tragedy. Rescuers of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Karachay-Cherkess Republic evacuated from Elbrus the body of a 31-year-old woman. According to preliminary data of forensic examination, climbers have multiple fractures of limbs and ribs, which is typical when a person falls under a snow avalanche. Currently, investigators of the UK of the KChR establish family ties of the victim, employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the republic, in the presence of suitable weather conditions, attempts will be made to search for the remaining members of the missing group.
