Dashcam Shows Police Rescue Woman From Burning Car

555 Milwaukee, WI - A 22-year-old Milwaukee woman has been charged in a crash last week that killed one passenger and seriously injured herself and her 2 1/2 -year-old daughter. Taylor Arms faces a count of eluding officers resulting in death after an Oct. 25 chase that ended when her vehicle ran into a tree near North 71st and West Marion streets. According to the complaint, Arms was driving a silver Mercedes with tinted windows and no license plates. When police began to follow her on West Capitol Drive, Arms turned north on 72nd Street and reached speeds of 60 mph before turning east on Marion and then crashing. A front seat passenger, April Stegall, 21, was killed in the crash. Police had to break a driver's side window to rescue Arms and the child from the rear seat as flames engulfed the front of the car. Arms' driver's license had been suspended in August for failing to pay a forfeiture, according to the complaint.
