Volusia Firefighters Rescue Man Stuck in 30-Foot Well

555 Three young men decided to take a walk on their neighbor's property early this morning. They took turns climbing in and out of an empty old well, which is 35 to 40 feet deep. One of the three males was trying to exit the narrow well. The rope broke, and the victim fell and was unable to get out. Volusia County Fire also responded. The victim was losing oxygen which made it hard for him to follow instructions. After approximately 40 minutes -- and with a group effort -- the victim was pulled out to safety. Rescue provided treatment on scene for minor abrasions.
