Man filmed being thrown down flight of stairs in a bar, breaking his back

555 CCTV footage has shown the horrible moment a thug threw a fellow reveller down a flight of stairs - which broke his back. Bradley Aspin was left with the severe injury after arguing with stranger Jermaine Allen, who then attacked him at House of Smith, in Collingwood Street, Newcastle. The then 19-year-old was thrown down a flight of stairs. Now Allen, 30, of Brindleclose, Bradford, has been jailed for four years and six months for the attack, which happened in September 2017. After police revealed how they had to trawl city hotels to find their suspect, Bradley has spoken of his ordeal. he 21-year-old said: "I don't know what happened exactly. I can't remember any of it as I was knocked unconscious but I have seen the CCTV. "It left me with two broken bones in my back and I was in a back brace for five months, I couldn't walk without it, and had to take medication and undergo physio. "It happened two-and-a-half years ago now but when it first happened it really badly affected me. I wasn't able to work and I couldn't socialise. I did feel depressed as I couldn't do any of my day-to-day activities. "Even now I still need to do muscle strengthening, I can't go to the gym and I can't play football which is something that I always loved to do." Bradley, who is from Stockton, was enjoying a night out in Newcastle when he crossed paths with Allen, who had travelled to the city from Bradford CCTV footage played in court showed them arguing at the top of a flight of stairs before Allen attacked Bradley and threw him down the steps.
